Lived all my life in Toronto and love it, but that doesn't stop me from complaining.
Toronto is almost 3 million people but within an hours drive of the city there are probably 10 million. Toronto is Canada's biggest city and within the Toronto area we probably have half of the Canadian population.
Toronto is North America's fifth largest city.
The Olympic torch run came through our city recently and I got of few pictures of the event. The torch run is going across Canada from east to west 45,000 miles and will be there in February 2010 in Vancouver for the Olympics.
By the way all of my pictures are available (without the watermark "DMB") and can be ordered by contacting me. They are all high resolution photos (Nikon D200) and can be enlarged to any size you wish, just contact me.

Try doing a search on GOGGLE for - twitter Toronto news, just those three words and see if MY OPERA BLOG comes up in the first search page out of 45 million hits?
Well actually it’s a snow/ice melter. It’s about the size of a tractor trailer and they scoop snow/ice into it’s belly and it melts it all and the water pours out into the street drain. We don’t use it a lot in Toronto anymore but they loan it to our friends in Buffalo who get hit 10 times harder than us each winter. Toronto has two of them and we haven’t had to use them yet this year.
I hope their using lot’s of salt near those drains?
